Celebrate a Beloved Library Volunteer While Supporting the Hallett Memorial Library!

Pat Smith was a devoted supporter of the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library—mostly by choice! As the son of the library's first librarian, Jeanette, and the father of current librarian Abby, Pat's connection to the library spanned generations.

Pat was our "volun-told" jack-of-all-trades. He served as Friends Treasurer, recycling coordinator, handyman, food delivery driver, and a familiar face at nearly every library program. The only thing that could keep him away was golf season, when his volunteer schedule dropped from five days a week to just one so he could fit in his annual 100 rounds.

The Pat Smith Memorial Golf Fundraiser brings together Pat's two favorite places: the library and the golf course. Join us as we celebrate Pat's legacy of service, generosity, and community while raising funds to support the library he loved.

Join us for a fun 9-Hole Scramble on Sunday, September 20, with a 3:00 p.m. shotgun start.

We'll also host a silent auction to benefit the library's endowment fund. Can't make it to the event? You'll be able to bid online before the tournament begins.

Not a golfer? You can still help us celebrate Pat's legacy. Join us for dinner, browse the silent auction, and enjoy an evening with friends and neighbors while supporting your library.

All proceeds benefit the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library Endowment Fund, helping support the library's ongoing operating costs for years to come—and honoring Pat's enduring commitment to the library and our community.
